Independent Contractor Therapist

Are you a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a passion for helping others? Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor Therapist. We are welcoming applications from individuals with ‘registered’ or ‘qualifying registration’ status with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the College of Registered Psychotherapists, or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychotherapy, both in-person and virtually, to adult clients (18+) residing within Ontario.

  • Address a variety of clinical difficulties and life stressors with sensitivity and expertise.

  • Offer individual therapy, and/or couple and/or family therapy,

  • Provide grief/bereavement support, and trauma-informed care from a culturally sensitive perspective.

  • Collaborate with the supervising clinical director to offer treatment for clients' mental health and functioning for third-party funders such as workplace insurance, NIHB, IRS, and VAC, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with trauma training and autonomous registration status with their college. Those with over 5 years of experience in the field are highly regarded. An interest in supervising students, including learning how to supervise, is encouraged. For those in qualifying status, mandatory individual and group supervision will be required. Group consultation is highly encouraged for those with more than 5 years of experience.
